Mahiro is very outgoing and friendly, and he quickly becomes friends with Shino. He helps her to overcome her shyness, and she starts to come out of her shell. Shino and Mahiro continue to train together, and they eventually become very close. They develop feelings for each other, but they are both too shy to say anything.
